• Plus Two public examinations began on Friday with 29,776 students, including 17,080 girls, appearing for the exams in the district.
• The exams were being held at 83 centres across the district for students from 200 schools.
• Private candidates appeared for the exams in 10 centres.
• About 130 officials, split into different flying squads, conducted surprise checks to prevent any malpractices.
• All exam centres were provided with police security and generators.
• Candidates and invigilators were barred from carrying mobile phones into the exam centres.
